In Blender magazine, they use an attractive model for women to buy the magazine such as Naomi Wolf (1990) who used erotic images of women to sell products to them.

the magazine only uses one image of one model as it would look unattractive and over crowded with other images on the cover. With just text on the cover makes it look spaced out and professional. Also, three different colour fonts are used, this is a common convention used in magazines. Four different font styles are used on this cover, this is also a convention.

The model they have used is recognisable and poses in a sexy way with her mouth open, hands on her head and showing quite a bit of flesh.

The small image in the corner of the magazine is used to show the reader what is inside and what they can expect to see. There is a bar at the top of the magazine which is another common convention of magazines and the bold title is used to stand out to the audience.

The audience for this magazine is both men and women as the model used on the front cover is recognisable to them and an erotic image is shown to make both the male and female audience buy this product, it is more likely for them to buy this when using erotic images.
